BEER STYLES
ALT is a German ale which is Copper to brown in color with a medium body and malty flavor.
AMBER ALE ranges from light copper to light brown in color. Amber ales have medium-high to high maltiness with medium to low caramel character.
AMERICAN PALE ALE (APA) is characterized by fruity, floral and citrus-like American-variety hop character producing high hop bitterness, flavor, and aroma. APAs have medium body and low to medium maltiness.
BROWN ALE is dark amber or brown color and is malty, with a coffee-like flavor and nuttiness, and sometimes sweet.
DOPPELBOCK is a strong, dark lager typically brewed in the fall and aged through the winter for consumption the spring. Bock is the term for a strong lager of German origin. The doppelbock is a stronger and maltier version.
EXTRA SPECIAL BITTER (ESB) is a traditional English-style ale featuring a well-balanced hoppiness and sweet maltiness.
HAZY IPA or Juicy IPA is known for its tropical, juicy hop flavor/aroma and smooth mouthfeel, but are brewed with lactose sugar added to create a thick, milky, sweet beer that resembles a milkshake or smoothie.
HEFEWEIZEN is a German wheat beer, particularly noted for its low hop bitterness and relatively high carbonation, considered important to balance the beer's relatively malty sweetness.
INDIA PALE ALE (IPA) were originally pale ales brewed extra strong and hoppy for shipment to the English colonies in India. Today they have a pronounced hop aroma and flavor, often intensely bitter with a dry finish.
KӦLSCH is a light-bodied, refreshing pale, dry German ale that originated in the city of Cologne. Only about two dozen brewers located in Cologne and its immediate vicinity may legally call their beers Kölsch. These breweries originally got together in 1948 to create a formal association, the Kölsch Konvention, established for the sole purpose of preserving the quality and uniformity of the style and to keep the style from being brewed by distant imitators. For this reason, you will find beers brewed in other areas called “Kölsch-style” beer.
LAGER is a malty and light-bodied beer. There are many types of lager; pale lager is the most widely-consumed and commercially available style of beer in the world. A type of beer of German origin that contains a relatively small amount of hops and is aged from six weeks to six months to allow sedimentation.
PILSENER is a crisp lager with a smooth, malty flavor. Hops do not normally overwhelm the malt flavor of the beer.
PORTER is a complex, dark, strong-flavored ale, similar to a stout but without the bitterness.
SAISON French for "season", is a pale ale that is highly carbonated, fruity and spicy. It was historically brewed with low alcohol levels, but modern productions of the style have moderate to high levels of alcohol.
SESSION BEER refers to any beer that contains no higher than 5% ABV, featuring a balance between malt and hop characters and, typically, a clean finish - a combination of which creates a beer with high drinkability. The purpose of a session beer is to allow a beer drinker to have multiple beers, within a reasonable time period, or session, without overwhelming the senses or reaching inappropriate levels of intoxication.
STOUT is a dark brown to black ale featuring rich flavors of roasted malts including chocolate, coffee and toffee. Hop flavor and aroma are normally low, but they can display distinct bitterness from both hops and roasted grains.
WITBIER is a wheat ale from Belgium and is sometimes referred to as “White Beer”. A wit is brewed with unmalted wheat which gives it a light body and a hazy, whitish color.
ABV = Alcohol By Volume
Standard measure of how much alcohol is contained in an alcoholic beverage (expressed as a percentage of total volume.) The ABV standard is used worldwide.
IBU = International Bitterness Units
The International Bitterness Units scale, or simply IBU scale, provides a measure of the bitterness of beer, which is provided by the hops used during brewing.

Avissi Prosecco is a 100% Glera grape sparkling wine from Italy's Veneto region known for its crisp, refreshing taste and fine, persistent bubbles. It has a straw-yellow color and delicate aromas of honeysuckle, green apple, and ripe pear, with a clean, fresh finish.
