Bob has been the Executive Director of the Colonial Club since December of 2007. A native of Wiota, Iowa, Bob has spent the majority of his career in the nonprofit sector. After graduating from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri in 1980, he taught high school English, speech, drama and journalism in Shelby, NE and at St. Joseph Catholic High School in Omaha, NE. In 1988 he joined the Heartland Chapter of the American Red Cross in Omaha and after four years in Omaha, was hired by the National American Red Cross in Washington D.C. After six years in our nation's capitol, he moved to Minneapolis to become the director of Agape Home, an HIV/AIDS home care facility. In May of 1999, he was hired to become the Executive Director of AIDS Network in Madison and spent nearly 9 years at the helm of that organization. At the Colonial Club, he oversees the day-to-day operations, supervises staff, raises both financial and human resources and is responsible for communicating the Colonial Club's mission to communities throughout Dane County. He is a member of the Sun Prairie Rotary Club, the Sun Prairie Chamber of Commerce, the Wisconsin Association of Senior Centers, the Wisconsin Coalition on Aging and the National Organization on Aging. Director of Operations and Services
Melody has worked for the Colonial Club Senior Activity Center since 1993. She has advanced in the organization and currently is the Director of Operations and Services. In this position she oversees the community services that Colonial Club has to offer, such as adult day services, case management, congregate and home delivered meals, in home care services and catering. Shortly after graduating from UW- Eau Claire with a bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration, Melody became a licensed nursing home administrator. She operated a nursing home for approximately 2 years before joining the Colonial Club. Over the past several years, she has been involved with the Wisconsin Adult Day Services Association. She has become involved in the Sun Prairie community and is a member of the Transit Commission for the City of Sun Prairie and the Program and Member Services Committee for the Northeast YMCA. Originally from Hartland, Wisconsin, she moved to Sun Prairie shortly after getting married to her husband Mark. Director of Support Services & Activities
Laura Jennings joined the Colonial Club in June of 2013 and assumed the duties of the Director of Support Services & Activities.
Laura is a native of Omaha, Nebraska and graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She began her career as the manager of Development & Education for the Nebraska Organ Retrieval. She went on to work at the American Red Cross in Washington D.C. and the Madison office of Musculoskeletal Transplant Foundation in New Jersey. She began working for HospiceCare (now Agrace) in 2005. She started as the Director of Community Outreach and later became the Manager of Outreach. In these roles she oversaw the clinical outreach programs for clinics and long term care facilities, as well as general community outreach working in senior, faith, business and school communities.
Laura and her husband Kevin have three children, Jordan a senior at University of Minnesota Twin Cities, Jacob, a senior at Sun Prairie High School and Paige, an eighth grader at Cardinal Heights Middle School. Laura was the 2013-2014 President of the Sun Prairie Rotary Club.
