Questions About the Energy Assistance Program

 

 
 

To qualify for energy assistance, households with total gross income for the three months immediately preceding the month of application must be at or below the income guidelines.

Households must be responsible for paying heating costs directly to a fuel or utility company.

       To receive assistance, you must call 267-8601 to schedule an appointment.

 

Do not call the Colonial Club. You will need to bring proof of the total household gross income for the three months prior to appointment date (payroll stubs, tax returns, child support, unemployment, W-2, etc.). You will also need to bring your most recent energy bill (heat and electricity). If your heat is included in your rent, you must provide the name, address, and telephone number of your landlord.  Each family member’s Social Security card must also be provided. If you do not have Social Security cards, please bring a copy of another form of government documentation showing the Social Security number.
